Description

This group of galaxies includes NGC 467, NGC 470, and NGC 474.
The largest NGC 474 galaxy is known for having tidal shells and tidal tails. NGC 470, positioned in the center, is a spiral galaxy about 91 million light-years away and has a weak interaction with NGC 474. NGC 467 is located next to a bright star and is an unbarred lenticular galaxy with tidal shell structures, about 240 million light-years away. Only a few galaxies have tidal shell structures, and it is rare to see two such shell galaxies close together in the same field of view.
